The DS-1258ZJ bracket is ideal for use with dome cameras. The bracket contains a void which is ideal for housing and protecting the cable connection to the camera.
This bracket is optional ~ domes can be mounted with their base directly fixed back to a vertical wall surface, this is fine as long as you are looking away from the wall. However, if you intend to look sideways, along the wall that the camera is fixed to, it is best to mount the camera pendant-style under this bracket and to use the rotational adjustment to look along the wall.
